a public listed company in its dispute against a substantial minority shareholder in relation to a common law shareholder derivative action; |

a Singapore statutory body in several on-going and concluded arbitrations relating to infrastructure and engineering works. The amount in dispute is in excess of S$300 million; |

one of Singapore’s largest developers in their dispute against the sellers under a collective sale and purchase agreement worth in excess of S$400 million; |

a listed company in defending a claim for oppression made by a minority shareholder; |

Vincent graduated from the National University of Singapore with a Bachelor of Laws degree (First Class Honours) where he was awarded various academic prizes. Vincent was subsequently awarded the Lee Kuan Yew post-graduate Scholarship to study at Harvard Law School where he graduated with a Masters of Law.
Vincent commenced his career as a law clerk to the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Singapore. He thereafter served in the Singapore Legal Service in various capacities including Assistant Registrar of the Supreme Court, Magistrate of the Subordinate Courts, and Deputy Public Prosecutor and State Counsel at the Attorney-General’s Chambers. Vincent was admitted as an Advocate & Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Singapore in 2005 and he joined Allen & Gledhill LLP in 2007.
Vincent is concurrently on the adjunct faculty of the National University of Singapore where he has taught for many years. Vincent has also previously taught at the Singapore Management University and the Board of Legal Education in the subjects of trial advocacy, civil procedure and criminal procedure.
Vincent has written various articles and grounds of decisions on different areas of the law and has also contributed to a number of leading publications, including the Singapore Civil Procedure 2007 where he was a contributing editor, and the inaugural edition of the Criminal Law volume of Halsbury’s Laws of Singapore.
Vincent is currently a member of the Civil Practice Committee as well as the Criminal Practice Committee of the Law Society of Singapore. He is also a member of the Singapore Academy of Law and was the secretary of the SAL Law Reform Committee (2005 to 2008).
