Foong Yuen Ping is a Partner in Financial Services. Her areas of expertise include capital markets, private funds, mergers and acquisitions, cross-border joint ventures, sale of businesses, and business and group restructuring.

Some of the more notable initial public offerings and secondary offerings of business trusts and real estate investment trusts (REITs) she was involved in include:

Cache Logistics Trust being the first initial public offering in Singapore by a REIT or real estate business trust since 2008 and is also the first IPO by a REIT following the implementation of the licensing regime for managers of REITs;

the 3-for-1 rights issue of units in Frasers Commercial Trust (FCOT) which is coupled with the proposed acquisition of Alexandra Technopark to be financed fully by the issue of Series A convertible perpetual preferred units. This is the first time in which a Singapore REIT (SREIT) issued preferred securities which are classified as equity for purposes of the Singapore Property Funds Appendix. This is also the first deal in which the acquisition of a property by a SREIT was regarded as a "reverse takeover" or a "very substantial acquisition" under the SGX-ST Listing Manual. For the first time too, such preferred securities issued by an SREIT have been listed on the SGX-ST;

Ascendas India Trust being the first listed property trust structured as a business trust and the first listed Indian property trust in Singapore. The deal was awarded the Best Singapore Deal at the Finance Asia Achievement Awards 2007;

CapitaRetail China Trust being the first pure-play China retail REIT listed in Singapore. The deal was awarded the Best REIT Deal award at the Finance Asia Achievement Awards 2006; and

Pacific Shipping Trust being the first business trust and first shipping trust listed in Singapore.

Yuen Ping was seconded to Linklaters, London for six months from April to October 2004 where she worked on private investment and private equity deals. She graduated from the National University of Singapore with an LLB (Hons) degree and was called to the Singapore Bar in 1998.
